Rod sang on about his virgin child, making me laugh out loud as I walked back from the bathroom to our table.

"What are you laughing at?" Cutie Manager asked. It was just the two of us out last night. Out for a few beers - okay, quite a few beers - after a long day.

I shook my head, still laughing as I slid into the booth, "Nothing."

"You ready to go?"

I nodded.

He paid the tab and I followed him home.

That's what I was laughing at.
