Lions and...Oh Nevermind @ Monday, May. 03, 2004

On the news tonight a policeman said he saw a full sized African lion cross the street in front of his patrol car, jump the guard rail and disappear. Not in Columbus but in a suburb of Columbus. Columbus, OHIO.

(They're taking this pretty seriously so I doubt it's just a case of too many donuts.)

There were also reports of aroaring noise but they think that may have been planes since the neighborhood is also close to an airport. Anyway, they're telling people who live in the area to stay inside their homes but not to worry too much as they think the lion has probably bedded down in the woods for the night.

Can you imagine going to sleep, knowing there's a three to four hundred pound maneater, also sleeping, somwhere within a few miles of your home? If I lived near there I think I would have already called in sick to work.

And I have to wonder what they're going to do with/to the lion once they find it and what the miserably irresponsible owner of the animal did to let it escape.
